Suzannah Bolton is an artist whose concern for the environment is manifest in a large body of paintings. The premise that man should be the caretaker of his environment and is actually secondary in importance to nature is a recurrent theme in her work.  The luminescent colors in the paintings are influenced by the artist's actual environment, and she spends time in coastal areas of California and the Mediterranean.  She has exhibited internationally.  Current work aims to confront the viewer with an aesthetic which portrays both the beauty and force of the natural environment, and to promote awareness of the importance of its preservation.
